Owner's Representative/Project Manager

40 hours per week, year-round

Job Summary:

The Owner’s Representative/Project Manager will coordinate and act as a liaison with the upcoming construction projects involving the addition and renovations to the Hospital’s existing Acute Care Hospital Facility. 

Credentials and Experience and Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar experience in Architecture/Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • Field experience as on-site Project Manager/Owner& Project Representative or similar. 
  • Experience with Massachusetts Hospitals built under approval and inspection by JCAHO and the Department of Public Health and based on the AIA Guidelines for Construction and Equipment in Healthcare Facilities.
  • Current Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of related or similar experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Required

  • Excellent computer skills utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project or similar planning software.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully interface with contractors, consultants, designers, and end users.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with project teams.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.

Systems Administrator

40 hours per week, year-round position

Job Summary:

The System Administrator is responsible for providing system application support, problem tracking, daily / weekly / monthly processing, testing, and training for the Hospital Information System.  This position will assist departments with system table maintenance, functionality, evaluation of existing processes, and security.  This position is responsible for escalating issues to the vendor and acting as a liaison between departments and the vendor.

This position manages the development, operation, and updating of Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s Intranet and external Web Site.

Educational & Experience Requirements

    • High School Diploma
    • Must have at least five years experience as System Administrator of Hospital Information System.
    • Must have at least four years experience in web development. 
    • CPSI system experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for the Position

    • Participation in off hours on call support as part of a rotation is required.
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment dedicated to outstanding customer service.
    • Understanding of PC hardware, peripherals, operating systems, and Microsoft Office.
    • Basic knowledge of network protocols, switches, and e-mail.

Physical Effort Required of the Position

    • Frequent standing, walking, bending/stooping, climbing, sitting, and lifting 1-25 lbs.
    • Occasional kneeling/squatting, twisting, reaching above shoulders, and lifting 25-50 lbs.
    • Rarely lifting 50-100 lbs.
    • Daily use of computer systems (repetitive typing motions).    
    • Vision is required to review, read and input data. 
    • Hearing is required in order to receive information via telephone or in person. 
    • Verbal skills are required in order to provide and receive information. 
    • The use of hands/fingers is required for data input.

Revenue Analyst

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Manager, the Revenue Analyst is responsible for a variety of revenue analysis activities, including the dissection of regulatory changes and how they impact Hospital Revenue, CDM development, and various charge capture projects.  Incorporating knowledge of reimbursement rules, regulations, and policy, this role will contribute as technical advisor on reimbursement issues as they develop by utilizing knowledge of coding and billing regulations.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Two to three years of progressive patient financial operations experience in a hospital or other significant healthcare delivery system.
  • Two to three years experience with third party billing requirements and regulations, patient access/insurance precertification and verification,  CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding, evaluation and management coding, and billing compliance in general. 
  • Experience in two or more of following areas: Clinical, HIM, PFS, Finance.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Healthcare related field highly preferred.
