When do entry gates open?

The entry gates open at 4:30 pm at the corner of Hulbert Avenue and Bathing Beach Road. Ticket-takers will facilitate entry, with directions to the beach. Access to the dunes is strictly forbidden. All seating must be completed by 6:45 pm.

How do I get to the event?

The Boston Pops on Nantucket is located at Jetties Beach on Bathing Beach Road. Jetties Beach is a short walk or bike ride from downtown Nantucket. Due to traffic restrictions and congestion, we encourage concert-goers to walk, bike ride or get dropped off at the venue. North Beach Street will be open to motor traffic for drop-off only, at the intersection of North Beach Street and Bathing Beach Road. Hulbert Avenue will be closed to motor traffic. Cars cannot be parked at Jetties Beach or on North Beach Street or Hulbert Avenue.

Are there transporation services for those requiring
special assistance?

If you or someone in your party needs special assistance with travel to and from the event, please contact Linda Williams at 508-228-4556 or email her at Those requiring special assistance may park at the Saltmarsh Center or at the Boys and Girls Club and take designated vans. To do so, you must arrange with Linda ahead of time. The vans will drop off at the foot of Jetties Beach. Note: Cars may not be parked at Jetties Beach or on North Beach Street or Hulbert Avenue. How is seating organized?

General Admission seating on the beach is first-come, first-served. Friend level seating is also first-come, first-served. Seating at tables is pre-arranged.

What should I bring?

If you will be enjoying the event in the General Admission section, you should bring any blankets, beach chairs or towels that you wish to use for seating. Please also remember sun screen and any food and beverages you wish. Please remember, glass is not allowed onto the beach. You may also wish to bring a sweatshirt or light jacket as temperatures often drop as the concert starts.

What happens if there is bad weather?

There is no rain date for the Boston Pops on Nantucket. If it's raining on the day of the event, local news outlets will provide updates. If the concert is rained out, there are no refunds.
