HEALTH FAIR

The Health Fair, sponsored by the Peter M. Sacerdote Family, offers an array of healthcare services, including medical consultations, blood tests, demonstrations, free screenings, and educational presentations. Partnerships between the Hospital and other island healthcare providers--including the pharmacies, island chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, Nantucket Aids Network, Sherburne Commons, Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention and A Safe Place--provide medical and wellness services and information.

Free screenings include skin, glaucoma, cataract, oral cancer and bone density. Screenings for Lyme disease, Prostate Cancer and Diabetes are provided at a specially-discounted rate. Other features of the Health Fair include MRI tours, body fat and blood pressure testing, and Hepatitis C/HIV testing. Educational presentations cover topics including question-and-answer sessions on Lyme Disease, women’s health issues, knee and hip injuries and hypertension and kidney disease.
