NATIVE REUNION

Calling All Explorers!

On Sunday, February 3, 2008, families of children born at the Nantucket Cottage Hospital since 2003 were invited to attend our "Animal Adventure" party inspired by popular, bi-lingual cartoon characters Dora and Diego.

The Annual Nantucket Native Reunion, included fun activities— like fishing for trinkets and following a treasure map to find the "wild" animals hiding through out the Hospital. Parents and children alike enjoyed snacks, games and gifts. Bob Lamb, the Balloon Man, and Mark the Magician entertained the children. Our local Girl Scout Troop painted faces and the Nantucket Atheneum provided storytelling. Families also had the opportunity to tour the new Birthplace at Nantucket Cottage Hospital and view the Wall of Natives.

The next Native Reunion will be in early 2009.
