This volunteer program is for individuals interested in making a meaningful difference in our busy hospital, particularly during the peak season. Volunteers wearing blue smocks meet and greet patients in the Emergency Department’s reception room, direct people to their appointments, register them for surgeries and provide administrative assistance and any other service possible. The program has proven to be very successful and productive for the hospital, as well as rewarding for the volunteers. Orientation for the Blue Coat program occurs once a year, in the spring. We are accepting new volunteer applications.
