Volunteer Opportunities at Nantucket Cottage Hospital include:
Blue Coats
for individuals interested in meeting and greeting patients in the Emergency Department’s reception room, directing people to their appointments, registering them for in-patient surgeries and providing administrative assistance and any other service possible.
Individual Hospital Departments
various departments request volunteer assistance, particularly during the busy summer months
Community Relations & Development Office
for individuals interested in non-profit work, special events and office coordination. This department needs volunteer assistance on a year-round basis, and particularly in the busy summer months when coordination of the largest event on the island is most time-consuming. Additionally, volunteers assist with administrative duties, such as data management, organizing, filing and telephone coverage.
