Programs & Services
Hospice Care of Nantucket
Hospice Care of Nantucket is a specialized health care program
that provides physical, emotional, social, and spiritual
care to persons with life-threatening illness, as well as
support for their families.
Unlike most other hospice programs, our services are available
not only to patients with terminal illness, but also to persons
with any stage of any serious illness, even when they are
pursuing aggressive treatment and hope to be cured. Counseling
and support are also available to assist community members
who might be coping with grief.
The department is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation
of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and all services
are provided free of charge.
