Supporting Our Community
Every day, Nantucket Cottage Hospital carries out its mission to improve the health and wellness of Nantucketers. NCH promotes wellness for people of all ages through prevention, education and readily accessible health care services, in an effort to improve the general health, vitality and quality of life for all Nantucket residents and visitors.
NCH assumes the leadership role within the community by collaborating with other local organizations, by ensuring availability of an integrated array of health care services and by responding to the needs of the increasingly diverse Nantucket community.
Community Benefits Report
We take our responsibility to the island seriously, and report annually to the state Attorney General’s office with details of our charitable, volunteer and community-wide health initiatives. These efforts are outlined in our FY2020 Community Benefits Report and includes an in-depth look at the benefits we offer to Nantucket, such as our annual Health Fair, flu clinic, as well as our free health and wellness screenings.

Nantucket Behavioral Health Assessment Report
In October 2021, following a five-month community-based effort to research and identify behavioral health services and needs on Nantucket, NCH along with 14 other community partners, finalized phase one of its multi-phased initiative aimed at addressing behavior health concerns impacting the community. As part of the initiative, the committee brought together community members with civic and government leaders to explore and report on some of the major shortcomings facing Nantucket’s behavioral health stakeholders.
